日の出町を流れる平井川の源流部に近いタルクボ沢の上流にある「白岩の滝」は、落差8.5mと落差12mの二段からなる「雨乞の滝」とその上流にある落差15mの「白岩の滝」の二つの滝を総称し「白岩の滝」として案内している。

塩田耕地周辺の約150本の桜並木は町内きっての桜の名所。平井川の河原に降りれば、絶好のお花見ポイント！小さいお子さんでも安心して遊べる河原です。毎年、町民グラウンドでは「桜まつり」が開かれ、フリーマーケットや模擬店などで盛り上がる。
